When dealing with historic military watch straps, it’s important to realise how many people’s lives depended on their watches (and therefore watch straps). Everything was design to a certain standard & often over engineered in order to survive the rough day-to-day treatment these items would endure. The most defining features of the flieger / pilot / aviator watch strap are its thickness & rivets. Both play an extremely practical role in making the strap as strong as possible. To that end, we wanted to make sure our pilot straps maintained those key features. Hence these straps come in at a nice 4mm thickness & have 2 genuine rivets adding additional strength at the lug ends. We opted for classic spring bars (vs less secure quick release ones) for added peace of mind. A spring bar tool is also included with each order.
