Some Background History: in the late 1960’s & 70’s, French navy divers were issued with Tudor dive watches with fixed spring bars. These divers began experimenting with materials at hand in order to create a watch strap that was incredibly secure, reliable & could be easily adjusted to wear over a wetsuit. They settled on using old elasticated parachute webbing & created what is now an iconic watch strap design. This Product: This is a new & improved take on that same design. Gone is the heavy, rough, poorly fitting parachute nylon & in come much more comfortable, breathable & perfectly sized straps. These also have PVD coated stainless steel fittings, giving them a low profile look. As with the original straps these feature all the same benefits, namely the extra security that a single pass loop & elasticated nylon provide. These are lovely to wear (I personally rotate a few of my own & put them through the ringer. They’ve never let me down). How to Fit: These are incredibly easy to attach. It takes a couple seconds & all you need is a spring bar tool (free with every purchase). Watch Suitability: These work great on virtually all watches but they are not recommended for smart watches (as the strap runs underneath the watch & blocks the heartrate sensor). It also not suitable for rarer watches with fixed / welded spring bars (eg a British military CWC or a Rolex Milsub if you’re lucky enough to have one of those things).
